Lacuna Coil

Lacuna Coil is an Italian gothic metal band from Milan. Formed in 1994, the group has had two name changes since being previously known as Sleep of Right and Ethereal and was inspired by the combination of gothic imagery and music. The members have been known, musically, for composing midtempo songs consisting of prominent guitar lines and contrasting dual female/male vocal harmonies to help create a melodic, detached sound. Much of the band's recent material, however, sees a heavier and more down-tuned style, featuring a more distinct bass line and a higher mixing of the guitars within the songs.

Epica

Epica is a Dutch symphonic metal band founded by guitarist and vocalist Marc Jansen subsequent to his departure from After Forever. They are known for their symphonic sound and the use of female vocals and male growls performed by Simone Simons and Mark Jansen, respectively. All six members write the music, but Mark Jansen and Simone Simons write most of the lyrics.

Delain

Delain was founded by Martijn W and Charlotte Wessels. Westerholt is the ex-keyboardist and brother of one of the founders of Within Temptation, Robert Westerholt. Wessels was, at that time, an unknown singer living near Westerholt. They started Delain, as a project involving many of Westerholt's friends in the Symphonic Metal Community, in 2002, and began recording the debut album in July 2005, after they had signed a contract with Roadrunner Records.

Darkwell

Darkwell is the name of a gothic metal band from Innsbruck, Austria. Formed in 1999 by bassist Roland Wurzer and guitarist Roman Wiencke.
Solitude drowns our souls – hearts are freezing, longing für warmth – despair covers everything – suddenly: a small red glooming flame breaks through the darkness, awakes us with a kiss and relieves our pain – guides us into the sweet embracement of the night. Darkwell is the celebration of the dark sensualism”

Darkwell was born early 1999, with the aim and motivation to create alive and profound Gothic Metal. All the bandmembers are experienced musicians. They know well how to inspire liveliness in their music, resulting in strong compositions and mature arrangements.

1999 DARKWELL signed a record-deal with the austrian label Napalm Records, and in march 2000 they started the recordings of their debut “Suspiria”. They coupled fragile and though powerful female vocals with pounding guitarrs and pushing baselines. Shortly after entering the studio the five went on tour with labal-colleagues Tristania and The Sins of Thy Beloved. This tour was crowned with success: They got booked for the Wave Gothic Meeting even before releasing their first record, followed by many shows and a tour with Graveworm and Vintersorg.

Sirenia

SIRENIA was formed by Morten Veland in january 2001.
Morten's musical work was already well known through his work with his former band Tristania,
a band he co-founded back in the mid nineties. Being the main songwriter for this band he
was a part of defining the gothic metal sound from a very early time on.

With SIRENIA his intention was to bring everything to the next level,
a task he succeeded to fulfil.
Up to date SIRENIA has released 5 albums and an EP, their albums have
made it to the charts in 6 countries, receiving great reviews worldwide.
Meanwhile their singles have topped radio charts in several countries.

Their 5th album 'The Enigma of Life’ was released on the
21st of January 2011 via Nuclear Blast Records.‘The Enigma of life’ is a very diverse and
complete album that sums up the bands career in addition to adding some new
and exciting elements. With this album the band shows that they have staked out
their musical path and perfected their unique style.
SIRENIA has also toured extensively in Europe and South America over a decade and
performed at most of the biggest festivals in Europe on the same billing as huge acts like;
Ozzy Osbourne, Iron Maiden and Aerosmith to mention a few.

SIRENIA sounds like a mixture of gothic metal and rock with classical influences,
in addition to some elements from more extreme metal genres.
Their sound have a solid base in the powerful drums and bass supported
by massive rhythm guitars, dressed with atmospheric keyboards and spiced with
melancholic violins and 12-string guitars.
The vocal styles are diverse and consist of female vocals, choirs, growls,
screams, clean male vocals, whispers and samples. The songs are very intense and the
atmosphere changes frequently.  The lyrics are based on reflections on life, death, love, hate,
paranoia, anxiety and mental decline in general.

The band has been through some line-up changes over the years,
but has now settled with a very strong line-up.
In addition to Morten Veland performing guitars and vocals the band consists of
Ailyn: female vocals, Jonathan A. Perez: drums and Michael S. Krumins: guitars.
